Promoting people in the arts, sports, entertainment, business and music industries with STARABILITY
DTM was created with a simple goal, to pave the way for a truly inclusive arts, entertainment and media industry. As momentum for diversity builds, opportunities for inspirational talent and forward thinking organisations intersect. Those recognising the shift stand to benefit the most.
Nurturing and supporting our talent is just as important. We share their stories on what it takes to overcome their disabilities and challenge the definition of ‘impossible’. Our client’s are granted access to the phenomenal individuals we represent. Their experiences providing your audience with incredible insights and knowledge.
Scott Longmuir
Scott has a 20+ year career in high profile sports management positions and an extensive contact base in business, sports, media and politics. He also has a further 10 years working for all types of organisations via his consulting business creating and implementing business plans to meet the needs of his clients.
During his time working in the Disability Employment Services Industry, he came to the conclusion that people with disabilities have all types of extraordinary talents. They have opportunities for careers as prominent sports people, entertainers, musicians and entrepreneurs etc just like any other abled body person.
However, because of the challenges they face as a result of a disability, on many occasions they need just that little more determination and resilience to succeed. As a result of their talent and extra determination, commercial opportunities would emerge for them.
However, they needed assistance in the management of their talent as well as an organisation to push their cause and also to have their own special platform where commercial opportunities could find them quickly and easily.
So Diverse Talent Management was formed. Our vision is for a truly inclusive arts, entertainment and media industry.
Andrew Zantiotis
Andrew was a very talented cricketer having played first grade for St George. His journey to becoming an amputee golfer started when he was involved in a harrowing car accident on Sunday April 15, 2001. The car accident took his leg off below the knee.
After quite a few operations he was faced with the dilemma to continue with more operations and face the prospect of being in hospital for years to come or get a prosthetic limb, which meant he would be out of hospital in 3 months.
Andrew chose the Prosthetic option, but it unfortunately it didn’t arrive for 6 months and he plummeted into depression as a result, however during this time he met Geoff Nicholas who was the best amputee golfer in the world.
Geoff was incredible to Andrew teaching him to play golf and then encouraging him to take part in the World Amputee Golf Championship at the Lakes Golf course in NSW.
Andrew didn’t particularly play well in that tournament, but he loved it and persisted and with plenty of practice, he kept improving. Since then, he has won the NSW open twice and come 5th three years in a row at the Australian open.
Not only has golf given Andrew direction, he has travelled the world and met some of the best people you could possibly hope to meet, all thanks to Geoff for supporting him when he was at the lowest eb of his life.
Andrew loves his work at DTM organising golf days with a ‘difference’, for businesses, community organisations and charities.
